July 2020 Acadia National Park is located on Mount Desert Island in coastal Maine, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. In 1917 John D. Rockefeller, Jr, who owned a home on the island, built a 57-mile network of trails for horse-drawn carriages. July 16-20, 2020 With our 14 days of official quarantine over we were now free to roam the great state of Maine. We left Bangor and headed down to Bass Harbor at the southwestern tip of Mt. Desert Island, about 10 miles from the Acadia National Park entrance. July 1-15, 2020 We finally made it to Maine on July 1 and began our 14 days of mandatory quarantine after entering the state. June 19-30, 2020 After leaving the Indiana Dunes area we headed to Sandusky, Ohio for a few days at the KOA on Lake Erie. Richard’s sister, Roxann, lives only about an hour from there so she drove up for a visit. We laughed a lot, ate some good food and took a few spins around the campground with Phoebe, her dog. It was a fun time to catch up. Richard is happy because they are finally playing golf on TV…
