After 6+ years on the road we are winding down and getting ready to sell the RV. It has been a marvelous adventure and we have loved every minute of it! July 25-August 4, 2023 Thankfully we made the trip from Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia into New Brunswick without incident. Apparently the flooding over the highway had subsided and the road we were on had reopened. Hallelujah! July 4-8, 2023 We were so excited to to head over to Newfoundland (pronounced new-fin-LAND, rhymes with understand) with our Florida friends Bill & Beverly. We lined up for the 1:00 ferry along with a caravan of 26 RVs riding over together on a tour, plus many other cars, RVs and trucks. This was a huge ferry! June 28-July 3, 2023 Wednesday was a travel day as we made our way from Prince Edward Island to Havre Boucher, Nova Scotia. It was about a 6 hour drive. There is a ferry between PEI and Nova Scotia that cuts the travel time in half but it was not running due do mechanical issues with the boat so we took the long way around…not sure we would have taken the ferry anyway since driving the RV + truck on/off…
June 20-27, 2023 We drove from New Brunswick into Price Edward Island via the 8-mile long Confederation Bridge, the only way to drive to PEI. It is Canada’s longest bridge and the longest bridge in the world to cross ice-covered water. It’s free to go into PEI over the bridge but $50 per car to get out. It cost us $67 for the RV and truck!
